Why join us?

You don’t have to be a member to participate in our activities. However, membership confers the right and opportunity:

  • to vote at SCOG meetings;
  • to shape the future of SCOG as a committee member;
  • to receive printed copies of our newsletter the Yowie;
  • to have priority in bookings of certain activities; and
  • to support a valuable organisation in the gay and lesbian community.

We offer membership at $10, per person, per year. To recieve 11 printed copies of the Yowie, $15. (total $25.00)

Objects

Southern Cross Outdoors Group Incorporated:

  • promotes health and friendly association for gays and lesbians, principally through outdoor activity; and
  • conducts activities that include both members and non-members; and
  • does not discriminate, especially on the basis of gender or sexuality; and
  • is not for profit.

The risks can include slippery surfaces, uneven surfaces, dislodged rocks, overhanging objects, unguarded cliffs and drops, creek crossings, hidden underwater objects, fire, poisonous creatures, and/or factors that can produce hypothermia or heat exhaustion. Medical, first aid or other similar facilities are not provided by SCOG.
